How the voting option is exercised
All Italian citizens of minimum age (18 years old) registered with AIRE for at least 6 months before the date of the elections have the right to participate in the elections.
Contrary to what happens for national electoral consultations (e.g, Political Elections and Referendums) in which the voter receives the electoral envelope directly to his / her residential address, for the elections of the Comites the voter must first express his/her willingness to take part in the vote by exercising the voting option.
There are 5 ways to exercise the voting option
By ordinary e-mail
By writing an email to londra.elettorale@esteri.it with the subject "COMITES ELECTIONS 2021 - Voting option" attaching the option form, duly completed and accompanied by a copy of the identity document where the signature of the holder appears
By certified e-mail
By writing a certified email to con.londra.anagrafe@cert.esteri.it with the subject "ELECTIONS OF THE 2021 COMITES - Voting option" attaching the option form, duly completed and accompanied by a copy of the identity document where the signature of the holder appears
In person
Preferably on the occasion of a consular appointment or every day from 3 to 5 pm, delivering the option form in a sealed envelope to the reception, duly completed and accompanied by a copy of the identity document where the signature of the holder appears. The envelope must bear the words “2021 COMITES ELECTIONS - Voting option”.
By mail
By sending the option form, duly completed and accompanied by a copy of the identity document containing the signature of the holder, to the Consulate General (located at 83-86 Farringdon Street, EC4A 4BL), indicating on the envelope the words "ELECTIONS OF THE COMMITES 2021 - Voting option ".
There is time to exercise the option until November 3, 2021.
