The manifesto
The "Together for Change" list is a "civic" list, therefore not associated to any political party. This is because we understand the Comites as a basic representation of the needs and instances of the community in which all the elected will collaborate and work together with the community to find solutions to our problems beyond political affiliations. A list in which women and men, young and old, are candidates, representing the first and second emigration, the permanent one as well as the mobile one, coming from London but also from other areas and cities that fall within the London consular district. What our candidates have in common is the desire to work with and for the community in an effective and transparent way.
The points of our manifesto:
Constructive comparison
Establish a constructive dialogue with the Embassy and the Consulate by providing ideas and suggestions to ensure increasingly efficient and decentralised services for the Italian community and in line with the new community needs
Representation
Represent the interests and needs of Italians living in United Kingdom, from the newly mobile to the more permanent so-called first emigration, by empowering the community through participation channels open to all
Language & Culture
Defend and strengthen Italian language and culture courses also intended as a tool for promoting our country together with services in support of bilingualism
Protection of rights
Guarantee the protection of the rights acquired by Italian workers and their families, both in Italy and in the United Kingdom, with a particular commitment to the most vulnerable categories and acquired citizenship rights
Correct information
Guarantee, through social media and the Italian and British press, timely, detailed and correct information to compatriots residing in this consular district
Constant monitoring
Constantly monitor the issues and concerns of our community both through social media and on-line consultations, as well as meetings in the main areas with a high density of Italians, also scattered around the consular district of London
